Information on Pfandbriefe

The issuance of Pfandbriefe is subject to the provisions of the German Pfandbrief Act (Pfandbriefgesetz) which seeks first and foremost to ensure investor protection. In accordance with the transparency requirements under § 28 German Pfandbrief Act, every issuer of public Pfandbriefe is required to disclose the following regularly-quarterly:

  • Total volume and figures of Pfandbriefe in circulation and the corresponding cover pools
  • The maturity structure of Pfandbriefe in circulation as appropriate cover pools
  • Break down of total cover pool volume by countries and types of borrowers
  • Break down of other cover pool assets by countries and type of assets
  • Total amount of payments that are at least 90 days in arrears and, if such past dues exist, break down by countries

These strict requirements enable investors to obtain a complete overview of the composition of Dexia Kommunalbank Deutschland's cover pool based on quarterly reports. In addition to the transparency requirements under the German Pfandbrief Act, we would like to draw your attention to the structural analysis of our cover pool, broken down by rating and country, as well as an overview of the historical levels of nominal over-collateralization.
