Information on Pfandbriefe

The issuance of Pfandbriefe is subject to the provisions of the German Pfandbrief Act (Pfandbriefgesetz) which seeks first and foremost to ensure investor protection. In accordance with the transparency requirements under § 28 German Pfandbrief Act, every issuer of public Pfandbriefe is required to disclose the following:

• Total volume of Pfandbriefe in circulation and the corresponding cover pools
• The maturity structure of Pfandbriefe in circulation
• The share of derivatives involved 
• Cover funds by individual states, including the total amount of payments at least 90 days in arrears

These strict requirements enable investors to obtain a complete overview of the composition of Dexia Kommunalbank Deutschland's cover pool based on quarterly reports.
